The Tyler Area Senior Citizens Association (TASCA) was formed in 1992 when a group of local seniors -mostly ladies – raised funds around the city to establish a place for older adults to enjoy games and activities in a nice and safe atmosphere. We’ve been growing ever since and are always ready to welcome new members.
Our members love to get together for activities of all types. Games such as mahjongg, bridge, many types of domino games, and lots games of all sorts keep our game-loving members busy Other offerings at TASCA include informative and entertaining speakers on a regular basis, delicious potluck lunches, and other special events that get planned throughout the year. Bingo is offered to the public on the third Monday of the month and our popular country-western dance on the third Saturday of the month is also open to the public.
TASCA is a 501c3 not for profit organization dedicated to the mission of providing recreational, educational, and life-enhancing opportunities to the expanding adult population in the Tyler/East Texas area.
TASCA moved to its current location in 2008. The property boasts two buildings. The main building features an auditorium that holds up to 100 depending on seating configuration, plus six smaller breakout rooms. Two years later, in 2010, The Ranch was built, which can accommodate up to 225 people, again depending on the seating diagram. The Ranch is known for having a wonderful dance floor. Both buildings offer great kitchen space, nice restrooms, and are handicap accessible.
